Don Trip

Don Trip—born Christopher Wallace—is a Memphis rapper whose storytelling helped define a modern Southern voice. He broke widely with “Letter to My Son” featuring CeeLo Green after a raw studio clip went viral, signed through Cool & Dre’s Epidemic/Interscope pipeline, and landed on the 2012 XXL Freshman list. After the major-label chapter he kept grinding independent, with 2015’s Godspeed brushing the Billboard 200.

His Step Brothers series with Nashville’s Starlito is a Memphis–Nashville classic, and later drops keep the trench-honest cadence fans expect live. Touring bills stack him as headliner with special guests from the same street-poet lane. Stream “Letter to My Son” and “Walk ’Em Down,” watch the official videos, and follow @mrdontrip.
