Different People - No Doubt Cover Band

Different People is a Central Texas tribute band dedicated to the ska-punk snap, pop hooks and restless live energy of No Doubt. Based between Austin and San Antonio, the group recreates the sound of the band’s ’90s breakthrough era while digging deeper than the obvious radio hits. Their sets can move from the horn-charged bounce of “Spiderwebs” and “Sunday Morning” to the pop-rock punch of “Just a Girl,” “Hella Good” and “Don’t Speak,” with a few fan-favorite album cuts worked into the mix.

Different People performs as a full seven-piece band, giving the arrangements enough muscle to capture No Doubt’s layered mix of guitar, keyboards, rhythm and ska-driven horns. The show is built for movement: tight grooves, sharp tempo changes and the kind of playful, high-voltage stage presence that made the original band such a force.

The group works venues throughout Austin, San Antonio and the surrounding region, including appearances at Lucky Rabbit in Jonestown. For anyone who came up on Tragic Kingdom or still believes ska belongs on a packed dance floor, Different People delivers a lively, detail-conscious trip back to the era.
