Diamond Rio

Diamond Rio is the Nashville country band—Marty Roe (lead vocals), Jimmy Olander (guitar/banjo), Dan Truman (keys), Dana Williams (bass/vocals), plus later fiddle/mandolin and drums seats—that rose from Opryland’s Tennessee River Boys into six-time Vocal Group of the Year. 1991 debut single Meet in the Middle made history as the first country-band debut to hit Billboard Hot Country No. 1; platinum Diamond Rio and follow-ups stacked Norma Jean Riley, Beautiful Mess, Unbelievable, and wedding-standard One More Day. Bluegrass-informed chops, multi-part harmonies, and three decades of fairground-to-theater touring keep the ’90s country catalog packing rooms with living legends, not a tribute act.
