DEVILDRIVER

DevilDriver is an American heavy metal band from Santa Barbara, California, formed in 2002 by vocalist Dez Fafara (of Coal Chamber) under the early name Deathride before a rename. The project carved a lane of groove metal, metalcore grit, and thrash intensity—relentless riffs, double-kick drive, and Fafara’s bark over decade-spanning Roadrunner and Napalm eras. Core catalog highlights include the self-titled debut, The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand, The Last Kind Words, Pray for Villains, Beast, Winter Kills, Trust No One, and the Dealing With Demons double-album cycle, with Strike and Kill continuing the charge.

Lineups have shifted around Fafara—longtime pillars have included Jon Miller (bass), Mike Spreitzer and others on guitar, with later members such as Alex Lee, Gabe Mangold, and drummer Davier Pérez. The band remains a road institution: world tours, package metal bills, and club-to-arena volume. Expect groove-metal heaviness and pit-ready sets when DevilDriver hits Texas and U.S. metal stages.
