Deer Fellow

Deer Fellow is the Austin indie folk-pop duo—Matt Salois (vocals, guitar, looping, percussion) and Alyssa Kelly (violin, vocals, piano)—serving cozy yet bold harmonies often compared to Andrew Bird and The Civil Wars with a new-wave soul twist. Debut EP Words Unsaid, Unraveling, and full-length Hues (2026) plus singles Easier, Fool For You, Shock Value, and Closing Time built KUTX, CBS Austin, and Waterloo Records Stage heat; Meanwhile Brewing album nights and 04 Center bills pack East Austin rooms. Open-mic origin story turned full catalog for listeners who want violin-and-guitar warmth without pure soft-acoustic wallpaper.

deerfellow.com and @deerfellow post drops. Expect cozy Austin indie folk-pop when Deer Fellow hits the stage—ATX duo, not a wildlife documentary.
