Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar (born Ashton Dumar Norwill Simmonds, 1995) is a Grammy-winning Canadian R&B and neo-soul singer-songwriter from the Toronto area—raised in Oshawa on gospel and Caribbean family roots, then shaped by independent SoundCloud-era releases and ambient soul. Early EPs and the viral single “Get You” (with Kali Uchis) led to the 2017 debut Freudian, which earned major Grammy nominations and a Best R&B Performance win for “Best Part” with H.E.R., plus Juno recognition.

Later work includes CASE STUDY 01, Never Enough, collabs such as Justin Bieber’s chart-topping “Peaches,” and 2025’s introspective Son of Spergy. Live, the set is intimate falsetto, guitar-led neo-soul, and modern R&B balladry at arena and theater scale. sonofspergy.com / danielcaesar.com and @danielcaesar carry tour and new music. Expect velvet R&B when Daniel Caesar hits major stages.
