Dan Whitaker

Dan Whitaker is a songwriter from Chicago who now lives outside Austin, Texas. He works the Central Texas circuit as both a solo acoustic act and with a full band—roadhouse stages, ice houses, and patio rooms where original country and Americana still get a full set, not a background slot.

Onstage he either plays solo with acoustic guitar or brings a band for louder nights. His songs lean story-first: clear melodies, working-musician craft, and the kind of material that travels well from a quiet early set at a brewery to a Saturday night at Poodie's or similar Texas rooms. He records and performs as a working independent artist with a steady calendar across Austin and the Hill Country.

Catch him solo for the songwriter side, or with the band when the room wants a fuller country-rock punch.
