Dan Rohde

Dan Rohde is an Austin singer, guitarist and longtime live performer who has become a familiar presence along Sixth Street and around the city’s bar-and-club circuit. Performing primarily as a solo acoustic artist, Rohde plays an energetic mix of rock, alternative, pop and crowd-request favorites, adjusting his sets to fit the room rather than following a rigid playlist.

His performances are built around vocals, acoustic guitar and a loose, audience-friendly approach. Rohde regularly turns familiar songs into stripped-down singalongs, moving easily between laid-back happy-hour material and louder late-night rock. He has maintained recurring appearances at downtown Austin spots including the Blind Pig Pub and has also performed at Maggie Mae’s and other Central Texas venues.

Rohde is also connected with the Austin rock project Oreja, whose music leans toward a fuller alternative and hard-rock sound. Whether he is performing alone or plugged in with a band, his shows carry the relaxed, spontaneous feel of a working Austin musician who knows how to read a crowd, take requests and keep a room involved throughout the set.
