Damien Jurado

Damien Jurado is the American indie-folk singer-songwriter—eighteen-plus full-lengths, Maraqopa Records imprint—whose character-driven ballads, Reggae Film Star era, Roger openers, and decades of tour diaries put literary folk craft on listening-room and club stages with hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners. Highly regarded for folk-influenced indie rock that defined a generation of songwriters; @maraqopa tracks winter tours and new EPs for rooms that want real folk craft, not soft soft-acoustic wallpaper. Play on, there’s no such thing as better days—still Jurado every single night on the road and stage.

Expect indie-folk heat when Damien Jurado hits the stage—Maraqopa fire, not a random open-mic Damien karaoke.
