About
Croy and the Boys are Austin honky-tonk lifers led by Bad Boy Croy—Ohio transplant who built a muscular midwestern-to-Texas country band after landing in ATX with a guitar and a mission. Lineups around Amy Hawthorne (longest-serving “Boy”), Casey Seymour, Steven James Carlson, and Joe Cornetti deliver White Horse residencies, KUTX Studio 1A sessions, and Austin Music Awards Best Country Band nominations. Albums and EPs including Howdy High-Rise, What Good’s the Medicine?, and Do They Owe Us a Living root in country while sounding how the band hears it—Saving Country Music called them the true stench of Austin honky-tonks paid forward. February 15 even got a city shout as Croy and the Boys Day.
croyandtheboys.com and @croyandtheboys post dates. Expect barroom country heat when Croy and the Boys hit the stage—Austin White Horse lifers, not a corporate line-dance revue.
