About
Copper Chief is an Austin/New Braunfels roots rock'n'roll country-soul outfit—Mike Valliere (vocals, guitar), Rio Tripiano (vocals, lead guitar), Justin Lusk (vocals, bass), and John Jammall II (drums)—voted Texas Regional Radio Report New Band of the Year 2019 and finalists on USA Network's Real Country with Travis Tritt. Their self-titled debut and singles blend roots, swamp, psychedelic, blues, and Texas swagger with tight three-part harmonies and leave-it-all-on-stage energy documented at ACL Live and San Jac Saloon band photos.
San Jac calendars list Copper Chief among multi-hour historical bookings, tying the South Austin highway-touring group into Sixth Street's denser modern country-rock names. Stage identity is long beards, cowboy hats, and free-flowing live shows that fans tag #hailtothechief.
On HeyAustin, Copper Chief is cataloged so San Jac and Texas roots listings can match by name and inherit a complete artist profile—bio, video, and imagery—when the calendar only prints the act and a start time.
