Cocktail Steel

Cocktail Steel is the Austin steel-guitar project led by Rose Sinclair—non-pedal double-neck steel reimagining jazz standards, vintage swing, and Brazilian bossa as cocktail-swing listening-room heat. Sinclair moved to Austin in 2012 to study western swing with Maurice Anderson, Denny Mathis, Pee Wee Whitewing, and Herb Steiner; 2018 Texas Steel Guitar Player of the Year and 2025 Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame inductee. Sunday residencies at Sam’s Town Point (with organ, bass, and drums) and curated Steel Monday nights put the instrument front and center—Wave-era records and ISGA main stages for rooms that want pure steel craft, not a tiki-bar novelty night.

rosesinclairmusic.com and @cocktailsteel post dates. Expect cocktail swing steel when Cocktail Steel hits the stage—Austin Hall of Fame steel, not a steelpan youth program.
