Christine Baird
About
Christine Baird has become one of Austin's standout soulful Americana voices, bringing together roots-rock grit, blues, and polished musicianship in a style she calls "Rocky Mountain Soul." A Utah native who spent a decade performing in New York City before settling in Austin, Baird combines mountain-west authenticity with the confidence of a seasoned touring professional. The result is a sound that feels equally at home in an intimate listening room or on a festival stage.
Her voice is the undeniable centerpiece—powerful without overpowering, equally capable of smoky blues, country storytelling, and soaring rock choruses. Listeners often hear echoes of artists like Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Grace Potter, and even Celine Dion, yet Baird avoids imitation by bringing a warm, soulful delivery that's distinctly her own. Whether she's performing an original song or reinventing a familiar classic, she delivers every lyric with conviction and personality.
Since making Austin home, Baird has steadily built a reputation across the city's live music scene. She has performed with Sofar Sounds in New York, Los Angeles, and Austin, opened for acclaimed vocalist Morgan James at Antone's, and was recruited to compete on Season 26 of The Voice. Beyond her solo career, she's also an accomplished session vocalist whose recordings have accumulated more than 35 million streams across multiple projects.
