Chase Baird Quintet

Chase Baird Quintet is the Austin tenor saxophonist-composer’s working band—Randy Brecker called him the future of the saxophone—whose A Life Between, experimental rock-to-post-bop range, and sideman credits with Chaka Khan, Chris Botti, and Brad Mehldau put fearless melodic heat on Monk’s Jazz and Elephant Room stages. chasebaird.com and @chasebairdmusic track Austin residencies for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. A life between energy, still Chase Baird every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect modern-jazz heat when Chase Baird Quintet hits the stage—tenor fire, not a random open-mic Chase karaoke.
