Chanel Beads

Chanel Beads is the project of New York musician Shane Lavers, who collages synthetic textures, real instruments, and off-kilter sound bytes into dreamy, hard-to-date indie. Raised in Minnesota and started in Seattle in 2016, he signed to Jagjaguwar for the 2024 debut Your Day Will Come—an album of melancholic pop collage with live collaborators Maya McGrory and violinist Zachary Paul often sharing the stage.

Standouts like “Police Scanner,” “Song for the Messenger,” and “Tyler Richard” made the record a critical favorite, while live sets stretch studio tracks into immersive, high-intensity reworks.
