Caroline Sears writes like someone keeping score since childhood—Voyage Austin quotes family tapes of a three-year-old with a tissue-box guitar—and who only recently decided the public should hear the ledger. She moved to Austin in July 2022, worked open mics, and by 2024 was hosting weekly at Songwriter’s Happy Hour, the Wednesday 6–8 p.m. series Ethan Azarian built as a songwriter’s oasis. That residency is how she learned the city: rotating guests, short sets, songs tested in real time.

Her catalog is still intimate—a short EP and a live album on streaming, plus full-band sessions aimed at a debut LP. YouTube carries the current voice: “Honey,” “No Hard Feelings”—confessional pop-folk with lyricism she prioritizes over persona. Day job, yoga, Barton Springs: Voyage frames ordinary life as fuel.
