Barfield The Tyrant

Barfield The Tyrant is Houston-to-Austin Gulf Coast soul man Mike Barfield’s funky garage-soul project—Tyrant of Texas Funk EP, Electric Cigarette, Matchless—whose blues-and-rock-infused Texas funk with Johnny Moeller lineage put Thursday 10:30 residency heat on Continental Club mainstage and SOCO Stomp bills for decades of live-music originals. @barfield_the_tyrant and barfieldthetyrant.com track the return for rooms that want real soul-funk craft, not soft soft-background R&B wallpaper. All hail the Tyrant energy, still Barfield every single night on the road and stage around Austin.

Expect Texas-funk heat when Barfield The Tyrant hits the stage—Continental fire, not a random open-mic Barfield karaoke.
