Austin Jazz Band

Austin Jazz Band is a working downtown ensemble long associated with the Elephant Room’s Monday calendar—Congress Avenue basement jazz since the club’s early years—whose weekly 7pm sets put classic-to-modern jazz heat on the city’s most famous no-cover basement stage before the Monday Night Jazz Jam hosted next door on the same bill. Elephant Room calendars track the band for rooms that want real jazz craft, not soft soft-smooth wallpaper. Monday night jazz energy, still Austin Jazz Band every single night on the road and stage around Austin and the downtown circuit.

Expect jazz heat when Austin Jazz Band hits the stage—Elephant Room fire and Congress punch, not a random open-mic Austin karaoke.
