Acath

Acath is a shoegaze project from Lafayette, Louisiana, built for that dissociative, dreamy wash—droning guitars, light airy vocals, and reverb-heavy production in the My Bloody Valentine and Whirr lane. LSU Reveille covered their push toward traditional shoegaze: mood first, polish second, comfort and blur as the point.

Catalog highlights include “will you,” the demos era, how long is forever, and a split with Animal Shin that put the Louisiana name next to Phoenix rock bills. Live they documented early rooms like Loose Caboose and keep booking across the Gulf South. Stream will you and the Bandcamp catalog, watch the Loose Caboose set, and follow @acathband.
