A Live One - Phish Tribute
About
A Live One is an Austin-based Phish tribute band that recreates the adventurous energy, improvisation and communal spirit of a Phish concert. Formed in 2011 by guitarist Josh Pearson and drummer Dan McGreevy, the group has performed hundreds of shows and appeared at festivals across the country.
Rather than simply reproducing studio recordings, A Live One approaches Phish’s catalog as a living body of music, building performances around extended jams, unexpected transitions and changing setlists.
The band draws from Phish’s blend of progressive rock, funk, jazz, psychedelia and experimental improvisation while adding its own personality to each performance. Based in Austin, A Live One has developed a dedicated following by bringing the full Phish experience to audiences throughout Texas and beyond.
